Smt. Abha Shukla (IAS) joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1993. Since February 2024, she is working as Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Government of Maharashtra. Her previous assignment was as Principal Secretary in Cooperation, Information Technology and Finance Department. She has worked in various Ministries in the State and Central Governments, including Information & Broadcasting, Road Transport & Highways, Power Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and Civil Aviation. She has also served in various key positions, viz. ‘Addl. Commissioner’ in Tribal Dev. Department, Textile Department, etc. She worked as CEO at Z.P. Gondia and Bhandara.

She has completed her post-graduate studies in Geography. She has also attended several mid-career programmes and in-service training at the Indian Institute of Management and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in Climate Change and State Preparedness—Impacts, Vulnerability, and Adaptation.
