Avinash Nimbalkar has been given Charge of Director (Projects) MSETCL w.e.f. 21.02.2024. Shri. Nimbalkar has studied Electronics Engineering from Nagpur University in 1990. During his ME (Digital System) from COEP, Pune, he joined concept integration as R&D Engineer. He has done MBA (Finance) from IGNOU, New Delhi. He is also pursuing specialization in Project Management from IIM, Nagpur.

He joined erstwhile MSEB (MSETCL) as junior Engineer in 1994. Thereafter, he was selected as Executive Engineer in 2006 by Direct Recruitment. He worked in HVDC Chandrapur from 2006 to 2014. He was promoted as Superintending Engineer in 2014. He worked as SE (Training) at Corporate Office Mumbai during which he engaged with various IIT & IIM for training programmes of MSETCL engineers & employees. Thereafter he was posted at Nagpur Project Circle from 2015 to 2022. He was selected as Chief Engineer in Direct Recruitment in 2022 and posted at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Zone in Marathwada Region from Dec 2022 to Feb 2024.

He has vast experience of 22 years in various new projects execution. Various critical new substations like 220 kV Parbhani, 132 kV Nagpur, 400 kV Koradi-II, Chandrapur-II 400 kV Switching Substation and various critically important Substations and transmission lines like 400 kV Koradi-Wardha, 400 kV Chardrapur-Warora, numerous 220 kV and 132 kV lines in Vidarbha North Maharashtra and Marathwada region were executed under his leadership.
